Last updated: 5 May 2026
Snapbook ("we", "us", "our") operates the Snapbook website and platform that connects customers with independent photographers, videographers, and other service providers ("vendors"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share personal information when you use our services, including when you make payments through our payment partners (such as Razorpay).
1. Information we collect
We may collect the following types of information:

- Booking and transaction data: event details, service selections, order value, payment status, and related records required to fulfil your order.
- Payment information: payments are processed by secure third-party payment gateways (e.g. Razorpay). We do not store your full card number or CVV. We may receive limited payment metadata (such as transaction ID, last four digits where applicable, and status) from the payment provider.
- Vendor verification data: where vendors upload KYC, portfolio, or instant-booking verification materials, we store and process that information as described at signup and in our vendor terms.
- Technical data: IP address, device and browser type, and cookies or similar technologies as described below.
2. How we use your information
We use personal information to:
- Process bookings, payments, and refunds in line with our Refund & Cancellation Policy;
- Connect you with the selected vendor and communicate about your order;
- Verify vendor accounts, prevent fraud, and comply with law;
- Improve our website, support, and user experience;
- Send service-related messages (bookings, receipts, important updates). Marketing communications, if any, will be sent in accordance with applicable law and your preferences.
3. Sharing of information
We may share information with:
- Vendors you book, to the extent necessary to deliver the service;
- Payment processors (e.g. Razorpay) for processing payments;
- Service providers who assist us with hosting, analytics, email, or customer support, under confidentiality obligations;
- Authorities when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
We may use cookies or local storage to keep you signed in, remember preferences, measure traffic, and improve the site. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling cookies may affect certain features.
5. Data retention
We retain information for as long as needed to provide services, meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Retention periods may vary by data type.
6. Security
